Installing Wall Posh Wallpaper

Magik-Stik Removable Vinyl

Wall Preparation
  1. Remove any existing wall coverings.
  2. Use a warm, damp cloth to wipe down the surface of your walls. Standard household isopropyl alcohol is also good for cleaning walls.
  3. Make sure the wall is completely dry and free of dust, dirt, loose paint, grease, chalking, sealants, and other cleaning products reside before installing your wall covering.
  4. Repair any defects in the wall such as nail holes or dents. Remove any hooks, fixtures and switch and outlet covers. Not recommended for use on any textured wall surfaces.
Application
  1. Start from the left with Panel 1 and make sure this panel lines up perfectly with your wall.
  2. Lay Panel 1 on the floor and peel backside liner away from the Magik Stik panel about 3″ and trim off the liner.
  3. Bring the top of Panel 1 back up and align the top edge with the ceiling and lightly tack to the top of the wall. Using the provided squeegee, tack the adhesive in a straight line and across the width of the panel. Continue working the squeegee in a left-right motion.
  4. Next, reach underneath the panel, take hold of the folded liner, and slowly pull exposing 12” of the adhesive.
  5. Let the material hang down under its own weight. Do not stretch!
  6. Starting from the top of the newly exposed area, apply the graphic in a left-right motion working down without pulling the liner or adding any tension to the panel. The material should easily apply to your wall with only the weight of the hanging material and liner keeping the material even and wrinkle free.
  7. Keep applying to within about 5” of the liner. Do not get too close to the release point where the liner meets the graphic, this can create stress in the fabric which can cause bubbles to appear. If bubbles do appear, simply peel back the graphic and reapply again.
  8. Repeat Steps 1-7 for subsequent panels.
Removal

Peel away one corner from the wall and slowly pull the PhotoFab off the surface. Depending on how long the wall covering has been up, you may experience some paint peeling off as well.

  4. Repair any defects in the wall such as nail holes or dents. Remove any hooks, fixtures and switch and outlet covers.
  5. For wallpaper with a dominant element, center it on the “focal wall”— the wall people first notice. Measure the width and height of this wall and mark its midpoint.
  6. Using a 4-foot level, draw a plumb line at that mark.

Removal

To remove Jet Tex wall covering, simply pull up a corner of the material and carefully pull the strip off the wall. Because Jet Tex is a woven, polyester base cloth, it will come off with minimal tearing.

SLEEK Pre-pasted Wall Covering

Wall Preparation

The surface should be cleaned, free of dust, dirt or cleaner residues, smooth and primed for optimum results. Do not apply to existing wall paper or a freshly painted wall.

Application
  1. Apply water on back of each panel/strip with a roller or soak each panel/strip in a wallpaper tray to activate the adhesive. On the paste side fold the wallpaper like a “book”. Avoid creasing the wallpaper.
  2. Unfold one side of the panel/strip and position the paste side along the top of the surface being covered.
  3. When positioned properly, unfold the balance of the panel/strip and smooth downward and outward on the surface with a broad smoothing brush or damp sponge. Small bubbles will dissipate on their own as the surfaces dry.
  4. Repeat for the remaining panels. It is recommended to overlap and double cut the seams and remove the trim to create a butt seam.
Removal

Begin at the top of the wallpaper and carefully separate a full width strip about 8” down from the top away from the surface. If you are unable to separate the paper from the wall, apply water with a damp sponge to moisten the paper surface. With both hands, slowly pull the paper at the downward angle. Depending on your wall surface and the age of your installation, some minor damage to the primed surface may occur. Remove any remaining adhesive with a damp sponge.
